Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is an American-born British sitarist as well as a music producer. She won the British House of Commons' Shield as the youngest, and the first female to receive it. Alongside the nine Grammy awards She was also the very first Indian-origin musician to be a presenter and performer during the ceremony live. Anoushka Shankar is a rising young star of sitar music. Indian sitar. She is a scholar and daughter of the famous Ravi Shankar. Born in London and grew up in New Delhi, she spent the beginning of her career bouncing between London and New Delhi. Her debut performance was in New Delhi when she was just 13 years old. After moving to Encinitas, CA in 1999 she received an honorary high school certificate. Anouskha's career as a musician and performer is quite impressive, in spite of her youth. She is often seen performing with her dad and has done so for quite a number of years. She released her debut solo album Anourag in the year 1998. A year later, she dropped the Grammy nomination-winning Live in Carnegie Hall. Because she has performed on every major stage in across the globe, she's performance career is extensive. Anoushka Shakar's career isn't restricted to just music.
