Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the head of the Center for Public Policy Research. She was widely credited with establishing the current study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and also children's witnesses. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers, received many grants and received numerous national and international prizes. She has offered policy and research consultations to many agencies and departments around the globe. She currently serves as advisor to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is also a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 57). Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
